Yamashiro Daijo Fujiwara Yoshiyuki [山城大掾藤原義行] was a swordsmith from Takada, Bungo Province around the early Edo Period, time of the Kanbun era. He received the title of Yamashiro Daijo. This katana is almost ubu, but blade length has been shorten/machi-okuri [区送り] to 1.6 sun (4.8cm) to make it handl easier, and still has a blade length of 2shaku 3sun 5bu (71.2cm). It has a bright chu-suguha hamon with kuichigai-ba and niju-ba. It is in good condition and has passed the Hozon Token shinsa in 2006. It comes with an uchigatana style koshirae with a black lacquer saya.
